Vividye AB
Johanna Nissén Karlsson (Sweden)
The textile industry is responsible for 10% of global carbon emissions, where the production of textiles is extremely demanding on natural resources; for example one shirt requires 2,700L of water to produce. The resources utilized compared to the lifespan of textiles is problematic, and as a result, our landfills are overwhelmed with underused textiles. To minimize the global harm caused by the industry, circularity involving reuse and recycling need to be prioritized. As a response, Vividye has developed a textile coloring solution that is able to apply color, remove it, and then apply new color- promoting textile reuse, and recycling.
