25 start-ups have a chance of winning half a million euros in green business competition
Postcode Lotteries Green Challenge has announced the 25 start-ups that have made it through the first stages of the international competition supporting green entrepreneurs. A panel of experts selected the start-ups from 574 applications from Germany, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden – countries where Postcode Lotteries are located – to be considered for the grand prize of 500,000 euros to develop their sustainable business. 574 green start-ups in the running for €500,000
Last Thursday at 12:00 CEST the entry period of the Postcode Lotteries Green Challenge 2021 closed. In total, 574 green start-ups submitted their business plan and entered this year's edition.
Former winner of green startup competition receives investment of 100 million dollars
Ecovative, the pioneer of mycelium materials, raised more than 100 million dollars this month from various investors in order to further expand its production. Ecovative’s founder Eben Bayer was 23 years old when Ecovative was named the first winner in 2008 of the Postcode Lottery Green Challenge, one of the world's largest annual competitions in sustainable business plans.
